1. I was at 7/11 and wanted two beers. I paid more than the listed price. Why? Before I bought a German one for 2500 won, drank it, and decided to go back.
The clerk explained something but I could not understand.

2. At Lotte Mart I wanted one yogurt but was told to buy a pack of ten. The sales clerk hassled me so I just left.

3. Also at Lotte Mart, is there a credit card line only? If so that would explain why my cash was rejected.
I didn't know bags cost 100 won, so I paid.

Please explain.

Just be happy they accepted the yen.

1) you probably needed to use a certain credit card to get the deal, or needed to by 4.

2) you can buy individual yogurts, probably about 3x the size of the regular ones. or you can buy a pack of 4

3) yes. when you are in the lineup look to see if there is any sign showing a picture of a credit card. Usually this line is shorter than others

You are not a Lotte member.

Get with the times. If you don't like to pay they way they like it stay home and make your own yogurt.

Why is someone who has been posting here since 2003 asking such a newbie question?

Yup, in bottles, tall boys and occasionally, on draft at some better places.

Since I do not work in Korea, just visit every once in a while from Japan.
I took Jeju Air and paid $60 for a ticket from Japan.

I don't read hangul, which would help. In that line I guess it just said in Korean with no credit card picture.

I bought Stella at 7/11 down by the bus station in Gangbyeon.
Had to pay extra for it since I bought another beer.

Just find that weird to pay extra for two beers.
I have not had that happen in other convenience stores, whether in Itaewon, Gangnam, or Dapsimni.
Never heard of that in any other country.

You wanted the 2-beers-for-this-price deal while buying the beers at different times? No, of course.

They don't sell that yogurt as a single. Do you go to Costco, break one ketchup out of the 6-pack and expect to be able to buy it?

Don't know about Lotte Mart, but judging from your other questions, it's probably not something very peculiar.

It's not a 'bag'. They don't have bags, so you have to bring your own. If you want to buy a gov't trash bag and put your items in there, they're happy to sell you one.

Don't get the deal with prices at 7/11.
If I want one beer it costs the normal price yet two beers costs more than the price in the store?
Is that just for imported beer?

Ah, the 2nd same beer cost more than the first? That's weird. They had a sale that ended, maybe?
