Boehner was wrong on all kinds of levels for inviting Netanayu and the 47 Senators were wrong on all kinds of levels (protocol, etc. ) and possibly legal for that stunt.
The role of the Senate isn't the issue in terms of approving treatiies, agreements. Its the ACT of sending that letter.
The Dems are spineless cowards for one. Obviously the tea party types put thier view above respect for the office, protocol, decency and possibly the law.
Cotton who was a combat military vet dishonors his service by not respecting 'chain of command'.
Its a farce. when it comes to Obama, rules, law, respect doesn't count. The most unAmerican congress in a 150 years. Only Andrew Johnson's Congress was this obstrcutionist but at least they were doing it because Johnson was a segregationist racist. |

Doesn't matter in this case. Allowing Iran or any Shia country to have nuclear weapons is insane, nuts. It's enough to make me vote republican at the next election. Enough is enough of these nutcakes demanding respect. |

No. The proposed deal aims at keeping Iran from becoming a nuclear weapons power.
Iran nuclear talks hit bumps; U.S. foresees lasting curbs on Tehran
| Quote: |
In Washington, Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken sought to ease concern that Iran would be free to build a nuclear weapon when the expected agreement expires in a decade or more.
Blinken said Iran's nuclear activities would face a variety of restrictions indefinitely, including tough monitoring and inspections, to thwart any attempt by Tehran to build a bomb.
“Some constraints would be removed after a significant period of time, others would remain in effect even longer, and some would last indefinitely, including a stringent and intrusive monitoring and inspections regime,” Blinken told the House Foreign Affairs Committee. |
Its the standard offer for non-nuclear states under the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Iran will receive nuclear materials and technology for peaceful enrichment in exchange for Iran's commitment to avoid nuclear weapon development and its agreement to monitoring and inspections. |

| I'm curious, W.T.Carl - what would you have us do? Attack Iran? |

Uh why? And there are only two countries in the world that have Shiites running their governments, not exactly a lot out there.
It sounds like you've been in Saudi Arabia too long... |

W.T. Carl thinks that allowing Israel to bomb Iran will prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, when such an attack will emphasize their need for a nuclear weapon, and encourage them to redouble their efforts in the long-term.
W.T. Carl and his fellow travelers really want regime change in Iran. Those of us who truly seek to forestall an Iranian nuclear weapons program support this deal, because this deal is the best opportunity to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. |

True.
Hopefully, one day, Americans will realize that those in power are merely two sides of the same coin. |

Wow. Another Chamberlain reference.
No evidence Iran is pursuing nukes anyways. |
