As I wrote, a place for you to start. I tired to make it simple for you. But I see from your sarcasm that you don't understand compassion. |
I am fully aware of the research into the efficacy of prayer, hence my stated position on the matter. But directing someone to a wikipedia page, rather than a scholarly journal, suggests you're not really interested in the facts of the matter. |

You have a really bad habit of ignoring what others post so you can continue to make light of what they have posted.
As for the Wikipedia entry, it includes scholarly articles and books that you can read once you've grasped the basic concept. You claim to already be fully aware but, given what you have posted, I doubt it.
If you need more, I suggest William James' "Will To Believe" and The Varieties of Religious Experience.
Godspeed! |

Those papers were delivered way back in the 90's, man. And I'm not talking about the 1990's. I'm talking about the 1890's. Not exactly the latest word from the scientific community on the matter, now is it? Christ, it was even trashed in a scholarly response as far back as 1907. But if that's the best you have to offer... |

What does when something was written have to do with its worth?
James' work has a great, great deal to offer for those intelligent enough to understand it.
I guess that leaves you out, huh? |
