|
|
Hey guys,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question, and I know that this has been asked before but everything I found was from a year or more ago.
I've seen a lot of people say that Korean employers are pretty understanding about westerners having tattoos as long as they are not visible in the classroom. I did find an article however that said that EPIK was really cracking down on applicants with tattoos this year. I don't have a tattoo at the moment but I am scheduled to get one before leaving to Korea and am wondering if I should mention it on my form if it's not visible in a classroom setting. What do you guys think?
Thanks! |

Agreed. If it is not visible, then tell no one. |

Even if visible, nobody cares. And it may just be my opinion, but if you give a crap about what anyone, including potential employers, may think about a tat, you probably shouldn't be getting one to begin with. Kind of a poser. |

I think there's a small (see:major) difference between worrying about someones personal opinion, and worrying about if it will cost you a job. |

don't mention it on the app (if I recall there is a question about it) but make sure it's covered up while teaching and don't go to a jim jil bang near the school or if you are asked to go to one with your fellow teachers.
personally and I'm going to sound like an old prude but I don't see the reasoning behind getting one especially if its a so or spouse. total waste of money if you ask me. but hey its your money and your body |

It's a vanity thing. Same reason people buy expensive things. |
