I went to the Dongsamuseo to get a Birth Cert for my kid so he can apply for New Zealand nationality. They gave me two documents. One about him, his birth, place, but no parents. The other was a Family Cert, with mother and father included. Which one is the birth cert? Or do I need both? I have to get the right one translated in NZ and it is expensive. Prob have to do both. Or can I get one in English from Immigration perhaps? But at the Dongsamuseo, when they searched for my son under my name they found nothing. Only under his mum's name. So I am guessing that immigration won't be able to do it.
Anyone done this before? |

Get the single one translated with no parents. this will likely be the birth certificate. The other is the family register, but the child should also be listed someone on the second form as well. Good luck.
PS: since you are not a Korean citizen, your child will only be able to be searched through the mom. As a foreigner, sorry to say, but you don't count in the mix regarding the forms. |
