Good post Kimchi pizza.

Ordering Omega-3 from a reputable internet site is almost exactly the same as taping heroin to your body and trying to enter Indonesia. It makes sense to be now.

Korean customs are in the right on this one.

You never heard of freedom of choice?

Freedom of choice has nothing do with customs regulations. As arbitrary as they are.

You're free to choose and buy something and have it shipped over, doesn't mean customs won't confiscate it if it doesn't have the proper documentation.

I was unable to buy the product I wanted so I did not the freedom you claim I have. BTW, your definition of freedom sounds like NK's definition of democracy. "You are free to vote, as long as you vote for me."

"Proper documentation," unfortunately, seems to be held hostage to the whims of Korean customs and the Korean entities they protect.

Just days before OP's post Indonesia had executed a number of internationals for importing illegal substances. Think korea wants that kind of limelight? No way in hades. So perhaps extra precautions are suddenly thrown up. Is that the reason for such restrictions and precautions? Who knows? All I'm suggesting is looking at the broad spectrum of the political, economic and international vibe of east, southeast asia if things go....well...south. And don't take things too serious or personal. Things happen; always ways to make do. Just ask my wife who is 8 1/2 months pregnant and i can't get what i need. Am i aggrevated? Sure~! But i await the reward of patience: something better.

sr in his heyday couldn't have come up with a reason that farfetched.

Kudos!

Hahaha~ based on Q's and your response, did i put my foot in my mouth? Hahaha funny as all get out~! Hey! I got a response! Bumped your thread did it not? As for 'sr'...took me a moment as to whom you were referring to...and actually not at all insulted. Guy does a lot more to provide a whetstone to sharpen more 'intellectuals' intellect than i. I'm honored by that comparison~! *humble knod* seriously though, i hope you legally and cheaply obtain those vitamins that you need. I post mainly outta of boredom and...*ahem* slight intoxication~! Haha if one takes daves so serious then there is trully no joy in life.

iHerb has been on Koreas shit list for some time. One thing Korea does not like from abroad is competition.

That seems to be so. I was going to order a CAN of garbanzo beans but iHerb warned me customs would quarantine them for two-three days.

I've heard more people are using Amazon for supplements and the like.

Fish are free. They can swim wherever they like. The OP should go fishing if he wants omega so badly.

You mean they just give fishing poles and bait away? Can you tell me where I can get mine?

And of course there's time involved. My time may well be spent more profitably doing things other than fishing.

Your post shows a lack of thought, stan. You haven't been imbibing by any chance?

If you feel so strongly about this why don't you complain directly to Korea customs. Hiding behind your computer and whining about it on an esl site isn't going to change anything. Actually it shows a considerable degree of cowardice on your part. Tell Korea customs directly what you really think.

I have.

I've also contacted my U.S. senator regarding how Korea is not living up to its end of the FTA with the US.

Still drinking?

Keep trying, but a drunken fool calling others names isn't very funny.

Other than owning an apartment, which is why you continue to post links about Korean RE and the economy (which customs is a facilitator of) in the hopes that your (only?) investment will pay dividends, do you have any real reasons for so staunchly defending the practices of Korean customs? You can wait until you sober up before answering if that will help.

As for labeling my post whining, are all the Koreans complaining about customs whining as well?

In the meantime, have another drink if it makes you feel better.

The fact you are crying on this website shows clearly your are too chicken to talk to customs yourself. I think it's fair to say you are a coward. This has nothing to do with what "other Koreans" are maybe talking about. You should provide proof of this if you want to be taken seriously. Oh btw did you get your herbs from iherb?

Hey you two. Grab another drink and realize you're differing about self interests and nothing more. There's no winning here.

I see you're still imbibing, stanley, for I'm certain it takes a lot of liquid courage for a gal like you to call someone a coward on an Internet forum. I'd say you're the coward, drunken one.

I've spoken to customs. You can choose to accept that or not. That's the freedom of choice I posted about above.

In the meantime, you might learn something from this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea-MVgC_jz4

This is one of the reasons that I opposed the FTA with the U.S., that Korea would not keep its side of the bargain.

So I view it as more than self-interest.

Accusing the Koreans of not honoring their agreement because you tried to import something that isn't allowed is pathetic.

If you actually read what is permissible to import into Korea on Korea customs website you wouldn't even have started this thread in the first place. Your problem is nothing more than a lack of forethought. Cry on.
