Hi guys,

I'm moving a small amount of stuff from HBC to Sanbon and throwing a mountain of stuff away (sofa, bed and a heap of household stuff).

Is there a service that can move my stuff and dispose of my household stuff?

BTW my sofa and bed are so nasty and old they aren't worth selling or even giving away...

Thanks in advance ^^

When I moved out of HBC I just moved the furniture I didn't want onto the main street and it was gone within minutes. No kidding, one piece of furniture disappeared in the time it took me to go back into my flat on the second floor and carry another piece out.

You can (not 100% will, but can (I did)) get fined for just throwing stuff out on the curb. They sell trash pick-up stickers at all of the local -gu offices and some of the larger -dong offices. If you live in an apartment or officetel the security guard can get them for you.

Leave it on the street. I made the effort to go to my local dong-office to get the official permission to dispose of a few large items. After paying for the tags used to display said permission I left it outside. About 10 minutes later, I saw an old woman wheeling the items down the street.

You can also buy the stickers at certain grocery stores. It's not a lot of money and the legal way to get rid of your stuff.

The stickers are called 딱지. You could also offer the furniture to a local merchant who sells furniture. Offer it free of charge if he picks it up.

If you are throwing out any appliances, those speaker trucks take them.
