Keep trying, but a drunken fool calling others names isn't very funny.

Other than owning an apartment, which is why you continue to post links about Korean RE and the economy (which customs is a facilitator of) in the hopes that your (only?) investment will pay dividends, do you have any real reasons for so staunchly defending the practices of Korean customs? You can wait until you sober up before answering if that will help.

As for labeling my post whining, are all the Koreans complaining about customs whining as well?

In the meantime, have another drink if it makes you feel better.
Very Happy

The fact you are crying on this website shows clearly your are too chicken to talk to customs yourself. I think it's fair to say you are a coward. This has nothing to do with what "other Koreans" are maybe talking about. You should provide proof of this if you want to be taken seriously. Oh btw did you get your herbs from iherb?

Hey you two. Grab another drink and realize you're differing about self interests and nothing more. There's no winning here.

This is one of the reasons that I opposed the FTA with the U.S., that Korea would not keep its side of the bargain.

So I view it as more than self-interest.

Accusing the Koreans of not honoring their agreement because you tried to import something that isn't allowed is pathetic.

If you actually read what is permissible to import into Korea on Korea customs website you wouldn't even have started this thread in the first place. Your problem is nothing more than a lack of forethought. Cry on.

I'm not accusing them of anything. They have not been honoring the agreement; Pres. Obama pointed out the same thing to Park when he visited here. That's a fact, not an accusation.

Another lost weekend, Stanley? Still too drunk to understand the world around you yet happy to comment on it. I'd think most would consider that pathetic.

Your apologies for SK should be better since drunks probably have to apologize all the time. Most get better with practice, but you don't seem to. That's a conundrum.

Atwood, I agree with you. Park didn't keep her promise because she believes foreign influence is bad. That's obvious considering she tried to get rid of foreigners in the public schools for the reason that Korean students shouldn't be burdened with having to learn English. It was a ridiculous move because everybody knows that, due to the difficulty of the subject matter, they have to go to hagwons, who employ foreigners. That being said, it's not all that ridiculous because hagwons don't believe that foreigners are crucial to the students' ability to do well on the exams. But mothers do. Hence, the paycheck.

I'm sorry to hear you believe that. I think it had a lot more to do with budgetary cuts. Of course they are going to get rid of the temporary imported foreign workers first. Could you imagine what people would say in your home country if the government kept the foreign temporary workers on the payroll while local people were being laid off?

The situation is really that simple and he can't handle it. He thinks it's complex and there is a conspiracy against him led by President Park. I'm starting to think he not taking his meds.

That's a bit harsh~~~
Best thing about Daves is sharing info, not condemnation. Guy's got an issue, help'em find the best remedy albeit temporary. Look into the politics...shooooot... Like looking into a religious text for causes and justifying actions. Think a top political leader gives a hoot about 'iherb' with all else going on? Not likely except a broad thought on the matter with lower echelons to interpret best way they assume was meant.
Instead, use what this forum for what it's intended for: got a problem living in korea, vent, post it, and let a whole slew of expats come to thy aid with sympathetic advice. All else, c.e. forum is right next door. Eat, drink, take your vitamin subliments (as i do) and be merry~!

While we are on the subject of customs, can anyone give me a contact number? I have a guitar waiting to get through customs, but I can't figure out their shitty website. After going through the hassle of setting up a PIN number, it no longer recognises my ID. FFS.

Freedom--ain't it grand?

I just order Carlson's omega 3 (Salmon), which is one of the best American brands out there; I received it no problem a couple of weeks ago. I'll place another order. I take it in combination with evening primrose oil. I get them off of iherb. I didn't have a problem ordering them.

What are you talking about? You,along with stanley and optical, seem to have made the assumption I ordered something and then customs confiscated it.

As my OP stated, I couldn't order it. I've lost nothing.

BTW, does your superior, sr, know that you're serving other apologists, gunga din?

This is what I get when I go to a Carlson Omega-3 product on Iherb (and I normally order Carlson):
Quote:
Due to regulations, this product is not allowed to be shipped to the country you selected.

See what happens on your next order.

Only Koreans have special situations. Stop diluting it for them.
