Pohang has a giant market and a seaside strip of restaurants. Nice roasted scallops place! |

I prefer Wando(완도)! The abalone(전복) in Wando is delicious and cheaper than other places!
Wando is very close to Jeju island. + Cool scenery!
If you like oyster, Tongyeong(통영) will be the best choice!
I love Tongyeong Gulgukbap(통영굴국밥)!! |

They have roasted scallops here? I would travel all over for either fresh scollopsor for fried clams. Those are the sexy seafoods of all sea foods. Also, smoked salmon cut in a normal way without bones in it (koreans sure love their bones) or smaoked salmon not cut or sliced into tiny little pieces would be great too.
You use to be able to buy large frozen smoked salmons. You thawed it, cut it into smaller steak sizes and then put them inindividual ziplock bags and then re froze them. I could have a salmon steak anytime I wish. Effin genius! Shame you cant find them here anymore. Now, it's just that pre sliced into tiny strips nonsense. (Though I did buy some salmon processed in Korea once, it wasn't smoked seemed more dry and was cut in a way that there were bonesin part of them. Weirdness.) |

Can get scallops pretty much at any seafood BBQ type place, best ones I had in Korea were on the waterfront in Sokcho. |
