|
|
I applied for a D-10 visa 2 weeks ago and then left the country with a temporary visa. My new ARC(if approved) will be sent to a friend's address. I'm still waiting on it and am ready to come back, but there's no point really if I don't get the D-10 as I'll need to stay in my home country to redo all the paperwork(crc, diploma, etc...)
Is there a number I can call to check on the status? Is it the same number as other immi inquiries? 1345, I think?
Cheers! |

Unless you have been out for more than 90 days you don't need new paperwork.
(exception - changing to a new PS job. They want new paperwork even if you have never left the country).

Isn't this only if you have a D-10? I thought that was the point of it in the first place. I haven't officially received mine and want to check the status of it. |

The D-10 provides continuity of your status of sojourn and allows for a longer period than 30 days (in country) to find new work.
Any time you are out of the country for more than 90 days you will need to provide a new CRC (even if you are on a D10).

Yes, you can call immigration and ask them what the status is of the D10 visa. |
