Coughing and sneezing in your face aside, the "I don't give a s@#$ about others attitude doesn't help. Since, "many of the newly confirmed cases were the result of ignoring quarantine rules."

That "don't care about others" entitlement that Koreans pull is a cultural thing, not sure you can blame it on the individual as Korea doesn't have any individuals (again because of their culture). They really take the Asian collectivism to one extreme, yet treat their fellow man like garbage because they haven't been formally introduced. What a wonderful culture.

Clearly all Koreans are part of some group collective, hence the undivided country and the one-party system that exists here.

Cactus? Does kimchi not cut it anymore?

Yeah, there was a top 10 list of the various foods that could possibly prevent MERS. They included black tea and cactus. Go figure. And, no, for some weird reason, kimchi was not on the list. Perhaps, some people got infected despite being kimchi eaters. I don't know why they didn't include kimchi.
And how's black tea supposed to help? Garlic was on the list. At least, that's antiviral/antibacterial and a natural antibiotic. Black tea just has a lot of antioxidants. I just died when I read the top 10 list.

My guess is the black tea is supposed to get rid of the taste of the camel urine. Maybe the latter's taste is similar for some folks' palates to kimchi.

A devious move as Korea is the world's largest producer of grafted cactus. And they get to promote Korean black tea at the same time.

Those cactus chocolates from Jeju are pretty nice but otherwise I will not be eating any cactus anytime soon.
