I finished my contract, went home, came back, and went to get a D-10.
Immigration said to bring them a housing contract. What are my choices for stating a specific location that I will be staying while in Korea? |

I gave a friend's address. I think they only accepted it as it was the same address as on the back of my ARC except for the room number. I also told them I'd be traveling out of country starting the next day, so I didn't really have an address. At first they wanted my friend's housing contract, but once I said I'd be traveling they let it go. You might want to try that option if you have a friend who can copy their housing contract for you.
I'm so confused about D-10 as well. I didn't think you could leave the country for an extended period prior to applying for one. Unless you returned within the 30 day period before your ARC expired. |

I assume you only went home for a week? And returned with still 2-3 weeks left on your E2? |

Awesome! What did you do in regards for housing. That proof of housing has always been a bit of a catch-22 for people. |

when I got the d-10, my girlfriend brought her housing contract with, and they accepted that as "proof of residence" with no questions. She had to sign a document saying that I was staying with her for up to 6 months (the length of the d-10), but that was it. I'm guessing as long as you have a friend come with you and they have a housing contract, then you're set. |
