Sorry about the late reply. Thank you for the information everyone. Yes, I made sure the drugs I am taking are 100% legal and available here. I disclosed everything to my employer beforehand. I just took one drug test already, after not taking any medicine for 3 days, and it came back positive with a "trace amount of a substance" but they wouldn't tell me WHAT exactly.
I take the birth control as a hormone regulator because I have Endometriosis. I've been off every single medicine for almost a week now and I'm so dizzy I can barely stand. Unfortunately, the small, tiny country town I'm in has no doctors who speak English. I made a very bad mistake in taking this particular job because of its location, but I had no idea what it would be like until I got here.
My recruiter and directors are both horribly inexperienced, barely speak English and I'm pretty sure alot of what they have done and are doing is illegal. they said if I didn't do the test over and get a positive that they would deport me forcibly, even when I proved to them all the medicines I have. I even gave them the bottles, scanned all my prescription documents, and everything, but because they have no experience with this, they just assume I am a drug addict so they are treating me very badly. |

Perhaps the prescription medication you're taking is causing you to test positive for an illegal drug.
"Is it possible for Celexa to give a false positive in a urine drug test for methamphetimine?....
"Hello Eberts. Yes it is possible and has proven to test positive for amphetamine. The reason is a chemical reaction between your body's own metabolism, and the drug. The why is unknown. It simply just happens. There are several drugs that belong in the same area. SSRI's have been known to test positive to amphetamine. Zoloft as well as Prozac."

Aaah I actually didn't know it could trigger a false positive! When I looked up the drug information and chemical breakdown and I saw that none of my medicines contained amphetamines, narcotics or opiates, I sat and scratched my head as to what on earth was showing up on the test. Now I think I may have my answer, especially since the doctor told me today the previous test result was not a "clear positive," so it's incredibly likely that the Celexa was the culprit. Dang. |
