I can barely find anything at all the area in English, much less a specific Avalon there. If you have any info, it would be much appreciated!

I haven't worked with Avalon at all. What I can say though is that there was a woman who posted a complaint on Dave's ESL Café about Avalon. As complaints go it was NOT bad. Her complaint was that because Avalon had already planned the lessons down to the last detail, she did not have to plan them. After 18 months at this job, she was desperate to be allowed more creativity in lesson planning. To me this is a plus, especially for a new teacher. It means you don't have to waste hours searching for teaching materials.

If you are worried, try to get Avalon to put you in contact with a western person working at the branch you will be in. Also look up hagwon blacklist.

So far, it's just a suggestion passed on from my recruiter. I just wanted to see if I should even bother pursuing an interview with them. Avalon is a chain, with every place seeming to be different, so I was hoping that there might be someone with info out there on this location.
