No, Korea does not make you or anyone else an everyday drinker. The country is not sitting on your chest, forcing soju down your throat 7 days a week.

Someone above said something about alcoholics blaming everything but the alcohol. Hmm sounds weirdly similar to some who blame Korea for their drinking. Granted the affordability and availability here may be significantly greater than in some of our home countries. But in the end it's your decision to walk in there and spend the cash for it.

Anyway I'd say that if anyone has several drinks daily(as opposed to say a single glass of wine in the evening) then it might be time to examine your situation objectively or at least get your liver checked. Odds are if you have been doing this for some time...you might get an unpleasant but potentially life-saving surprise.

You tell 'em Turb.

They need to accept their powerlessness over alcohol and accept a higher power. Then they need to do a full moral inventory.

This needs to be done in the most superior-sounding tone possible.

I'll let you do that then 'Cello'...seems like you have got the "tone" down pat already.

One doesn't take diet advice from a fat ass (no matter how accurate.) Similarly, one doesn't take life-coaching from a douchebag. It's amazing you haven't figured this out already. Well, not really. I've quite got you figured out already.

English teachers in Korea are all about Sunday Funday and day-drinking. It’s like really, really normal and what else should you do on a Sunday afternoon besides kick back with some friends and have a few adults bevvies? Except I have a suspicion that this really isn’t normal in many parts of the world.

This is post #2 promoting the website for jlb. Further references to this guru of self-aggrandizement could entice one toward the drink.
