Just regular socks...

They only seem to go up to 26; I've never been able to find bigger ones here. My feet are
310 mm / 31 cm / size 13

Maybe the Nike store in Itaewon?

Look for a Korean with big feet and ask him where he shops.

I can't stand the socks that don't go past the ankle. They're so girly, like something a ballet dancer would wear. And they're omnipresent.

I need a good calf-hugging sock. Know what I mean?

What about socks of a reasonable thickness? I can't stand that all the socks here are so thin. I've bought some of the wool ones from the Army surplus area at Namdaemun and their great but far too warm for summer. I'm looking for athletic socks of a normal thickness, preferably of the wool/cotton rag variety.

THose ankle socks are good in the summer if you are wearing shoes. IT feels a lot cooler when you wear them. I usually wear mine when i am jogging .

There is a guy that has a sock cart near the Itaewon McDonalds. At least he did last spring. If I recall, he wanted 14.000 for a bag of socks (like one of the bags you would get at Wal-Mart). I cant say anything on the quality as I still have my mommy send me socks and underwear.

OK, as for socks...I get them sent to me from home as well... I also have a 310 size foot. Although, for teachers day I got 5 pairs from the director of the school, so I can ask where they got them for you. However, I live in Daegu.

Now, where does a guy in Daegu with size 310 feet get shoes????

Thanks

I wear socks when doing anything except sleeping. It's like a layer of comfortable armour that stays with you throughout the whole day...I can't stand cold feet. And I know what you mean about those ankle-huggers.
I'm going back to Canada for a bit in July...maybe I'll pick up some socks for some of the people here.
