| I know that if you haven't been out of Korea for 90 days then you don't need a new CRC. But mine has been with immigration since 2012 or something due to E2 transfers. When will they request another one? Will that CRC continue to work if I keep transferring and don't leave the country for 90 days? Seems like they would require an updated one. |

The updated ones are the local police checks. |

No problem.
I’ve never been clear as to whether new national level CBC’s from one’s home country is required for each subsequent contract (staying with the same school or transferring). It sounds like F visa holders actually do get a new CBC from their home country each year to give to their BOE, while others (I guess E visa holders) just get a copy from immigration.
When I first recontracted with a school during the time when the BOE started asking for a new CBC, I said I didn’t have a new one and a copy from kimmi would just be of the same one I gave them the year before and I wasn’t going to pay money to do that. So my school said they’d do a local check for the BOE and that’s all I’ve done ever since.
Also, the school already has a copy of the national CBC (from my home country) that was given to kimmi and the BOE from the first year, so that’s another reason I see no point in going to immigration to pay for another copy. (Though…I think that copy was only used when transferring to a new school. I don’t think it was given to the BOE. Just the local police check was.)
Anyway, if ever I’m out of the country for more than 90 days, sure, I’ll do what I gotta do. Otherwise, forget it. |

I know what you mean. It's been so long since I had to go through all the red tape. If I had to go through it again, I would probably go back home. |
