Well, I actually like proofreading. I try to edit and correct the spelling mistakes I make. If I was writing a novel or poem I would probably want to do several drafts. But this does not make me perfect. I have read stuff I wrote and MISTAKES THERE.
The Korean English teachers who write adverts, or slogans, or messages are probably overworked, and the tendency is to be slapdash and last minute. It's not ideal, but there it is.
JennyJJ has a valid point about the differences between Korean and English. For us learning Hangeul, a very slight difference in writing can change the meaning. |
