Edward,
Everything I wrote was the truth.
Just an update to put things into context. My girlfriend came back late last night and told me the TRUTH. Her father has cancer. For the past month she has been pressuring me to get married and suddenly has been having emotional mood swings. She came back to our apartment last night and told me everything. I do not want to go into too many details but I do know that when people are under stress their emotions do get out of hand. Her father had the dream of seeing all of his daughters married and taken care of by men who care and love them. One post on this forum showed me the fact that I did not understand Korean culture because it was me who persueded her to move into my apartment. My girlfriend was always my best friend and it was not until recently that she had so many demands. My parents were only worried about the money which taught me a lesson. I feel my mother provoked my girlfriend hence the push. The wedding has been delayed. My girlfriend said her sister is sending all of the money my parents sent to her back this week. My main problem is the fact that I have been with a woman who belongs to a culture I know nothing about which is MY FAULT. Hence, the posts on this forum. |

So, what you need to do is separate the things that may seem weird due to cultural differences and the things that are just plain weird. Now you know what the norm is about wedding culture in Korea you can see that your potential in laws' version of it is very different.
By the way, telling someone that someone has got cancer is a very common lie people use to manipulate people and extract money from them. Not saying that's what your GF's doing but I wouldn't immediately assume it's true. |

Anyone who airs their laundry in public in this fashion deserves all the scorn they get. Good luck with marriage...i give it 6 months. |

sligo....
I am 24 and my girlfriend is 21.
1. She is smoking hot and I was really lucky to find her.
2. I cannot imagine that a middle aged man like you spends as much time on a forum asking such simple questions AND writing like a person who is...unlearned.
3. Yes, I do seek advice when I need it. That is why I have an M.A and am a real teacher. As far as your comment¨ Seriously dude, do you make all life decisions by committee? Please tell me what to do, the bint i am banging wants all my money... Anyone who airs their laundry in public in this fashion deserves all the scorn they get. Good luck with marriage...i give it 6 months.
I ask you to look at just three of your MANY comments and reflect......on how pathetic you now look. Are you really a teacher?
Thanks for all the replies. I am 36 and my wife is 31. I am looking to buy a low powered car, but i have noticed the (terrible) Larry King Lease car ads, and wonder how a lease car would be covered by an insurance company, and also how one would go about seeking out an ex-lease car to purchase.
I'm not very au fait with financial matters. But, with the ever decreasing savings rates, I would be iunterested in looking at other forms of investment. Does anybody know of, or partake in any finacial plans that bring greater rewards than 3%?
why the need for the sardonic reply? I asked s simple question based on a misunderstanding on my part. This is why people hate this forum and the likes of you. |

Dude, you were lucky to get to shag her. All the indications are that you'll be very unlucky to be married to her. At 24 you should be putting a notch on your bed post and moving on. I'm afraid I have to agree with Sligo about the 6 months. |

Sorry, but you're only allowed to use big words on the Intertubes when you can spell them correctly.
Although I am kind of curious about this ratio cination you speak of! Does it have anything to do with banging hot 21-year-olds? |
