Here is just an example, it's goofy in context but you can see what I am asking. Don't take it seriously, just the grammar/sentence pattern.

Quote:
I have gone to work and been on time where I took the bus. However, does anyone know how to get to work on time by bicycle?

The sentence pattern I am asking about is using:

I have _1_ _2_ I _3_

1. In the second part, what words could be used? (when, where, which, that, etc...)
2. In the third part, I often hear the word in present tense but it seems better to put it in past.
3. Should "had" be added or can it be grammatically correct without?

I'll give this a shot, but your color coding isn't working for me, so not too sure what 1,2, and 3 stand for.

1- if the second part is....where I took the bus.
This is an adverb clause and many adverb clause subordinators can be used.
when, whenever, since, because, although, though, even though...context would decide the ones best suited.

2- if the third part is - took
past is good depending on context. Your sentence implies past, using the present perfect to imply past and up to the present moment.

3- not sure where you want to add it.

Hope this helps
