Hey! I'm currently teaching in the US and my meeting discussing my contract for the following year is coming up. I have applied for the EPIK program but I was curious when you got the "official" word that you have a position. From what I can gather, even if you "pass" the interview it does not guarantee a position, right? I want to be able to tell my current employer if I will be returning next year by no later than June 1st, is this possible with EPIK? What are your experiences? When did you receive your placement? |

Typically you will hear back in April or May for August starting dates and November or December for late February arrivals.
Most schools won't know whether or not they will need a new/replacement teacher until 60 days before the end of the current teacher's contracts (unless the teacher is not being renewed).
