World's most expensive cities?

http://edition.cnn.com/2016/03/10/travel/most-expensive-cities-2016/index.html?sr=fbCNN031216most-expensive-cities-20160401PMStoryGalLink&linkId=22196070

Seoul, Copenhagen, and LA tied for number 8?

I'd be curious to see their metrics. I know Seoul is expensive, more than the rest of Korea, but I'd still wager it's cheaper than LA and other world cities. What surprised me was that Tokyo was not in the top 10.

How do you all find Seoul?

I guess it all depends on their criteria. I think that survey just concentrated on things you can buy, not services. If they took taxis, the subway and the average cost of a hotel room into account, Tokyo would obviously beat Seoul. However, I found groceries cheaper in Tokyo

Those surveys are always based on executive class US-style living.

Usually in those things a few things are pretty heavily weighed, but they are not totally upfront on their method of calculating statistics, so it is hard to tell.

At any rate, home price based on size usually weighs heavily, and in that regard Seoul is likely one of the top 2 or 3.

Also tax on goods is important as well. We pay huge taxes on almost everything that we buy here (all included in the final sale price).

Just those two things alone could bump Seoul up far more than it seems.
