What compensation is being provided by the employer? Go to the labour board if they're not kicking in. There are also advocates for foreign labor in Korea that you can research.
Is she an undocumented alien? If not, med expenses should have mostly been covered by Korean health insurance.
Hope things pan out for them. Doesn't seem like a crowdfunding effort is needed, though. No trying to be a downer, just my 2 cents. |

OK, I read the page. No health insurance? The employer should be on the hook for everything.
Again, hope her recovery goes well. |

Not an illegal resident, no. Unfortunately no insurance, but they've successfully received some compensation via 산재보험, but it's not much and isn't going to help in the long term.
A settlement has been reached with the employer to cover most of the hospital bills, but certain things are not included in that (its pretty complex tbh) like some types of medicine. I don't have the full details on hand.
I also know that the employer was cutting corners with safety, and that a court case is needed, but so far no lawyer has taken it up. |
