Not really on topic. First off, ALL above-the-table jobs entail deductions from one's salary. This is not exclusive to u jobs.
And, as I wrote, you can stay put OR move on up. There ARE jobs that do pay more the longer you're there. You give examples of a couple of the less attractive options.
AND, as I also wrote, after seeing a similar post from another contributor, I have never seen nor heard of an F-series visa holder getting canned for working outside of the the university.
I'm sure that the people out there who have decent u jobs are just fine with all the nay saying. Heck, it potentially disuades people from applying, and, as other posters have inclined, the best jobs are usually found via connections and word of mouth.
Not saying that people shouldn't go into any employment with their eyes wide open, just that it's not always as abismal as you would have everyone believe. |
If you use hogwon salary standard for university jobs they are not as lucrative. F vida who get caught get wsrned then fired the second time.
Wonder what in in charge professor at Seoul National would do if he heard someone was working outside.
You think they will say no problem?
That answers the question. |

You continue to speculate and assume as though it is fact. |

Exactly. What did I say in my previous post. IF you act like a jackass at work and don't do your job, and IF they're just looking for an excuse to can you, and IF you go around touting your income generated outside the school, THEN they might just up and can you.
If you act professionally, do your job, and fly under the radar, no worries. |

There are other ways to get caught than just being a jackass at work. Sometimes someone just gets unlucky.. Some dope from another company calls the school cause they want to hire the teacher. That sort of stuff. You could pribably smoke a joint in korea and be okay. But i wouldnt suggest it
Big famos Korean universities treat their teachers worse than servants even if they do their jobs.
Get caught you can get in trouble trouble. What goes on at Hong Ik and Seoul National is the way it is at al.ost all top schools

| GENO. How many university teachers do you personally know that have been canned for doing outside work? 40? 90? 150? I'm guessing 1. |
