Celebrate August 15 in a big way. Pull out 35,000 troops to celebrate Liberation Day. The U.S. troops could have a big parade to an airport or port.

Gosh... I would LOVE to see that! Absolutely love it!

Have you ever thought for just one moments there could be different political opinion groups in Korea? There are so many people on this board asking Koreans to make their own mind, have one voice, calling "them" hypocrites. But... do you really believe they should have one voice? Hein?

The trouble is, that often the same groups that have called for the U.S. to leave turn out to be the same ones who get up in arms when the U.S. does decide to re-align/remove personnel.

It all makes sense once you relax and accept the teaching 'US is evil', 'US always wrong'. Rolling Eyes

i was told tonight by a 32-year old Korean woman that Korea is divided because of Russia, China and the US. they just don't get it....they got nuclear freedom in 1945 thanks to USA's fat boy and half of their country back in 1953 thanks to a Korean named McArthur...in so many ways it's hopeless to rail against this madness. if the US ever did pull out of here with the NK "pygmy" (gotta quote Dubya on that!) still behaving like a paranoid, schitzophrenic, rollie-pollie whacko, i would be on the next flight....

I just don't get it either. Are you saying the country upped and divided itself? It was split up by Russia and the US at the end of WW2. Think about what it does to your national pride to be just casually torn in two by a couple of superpowers and you might see why it rankles.
