Hi all,

I've been looking around the forums and have seen a lot of mixed responses to this sort of subject and most are quite old now. I was wondering if you could offer me some advice.

I'm in my final year of Uni and am planning to apply to the JLP programme for the fall intake next year. I suffered with anxiety for about 3 years from the age of 16-19 and received medication for it for a brief period as well (less than a year I believe). I'm 23 now and haven't received any treatment or suffered any anxiety related incidents in four years.

I have been informed that all applicants for JLP have to get a letter from their doctor for the application and was wondering if the disclosure of my history will likely result in me getting rejected?

Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you Smile

If your doctor is not willing to leave this out of his letter, then he/she sucks. Get another doctor.

For korea you do NOT need a medical before you come.
You will need to fill in a self medical questionnaire.
IF you put anything related to mental illness (depression, anxiety, etc) on the form or on your visa application form you WILL be rejected for visa issuance.

Say nothing and get a job.

Sorry for not being clearer, it is the Jeollanamdo Language Program it is similar to EPIK but they do their main intake through recruiters with some help from EPIK. They require a doctors letter during your application unlike EPIK.
