I have a quick question. If you've had a background check before with the FBI does it take the same amount of time? Do you need fingerprints again since you're already in the system from before? A friend of mine told me that you don't need to get fingerprinted again.
And I guess we have to get the check apostilled, so what do you write in your request? I kind of don't remember it in exact detail.
Thanks in advance. |

You definitely need to get fingerprinted again, and it takes the same amount of time. The first time I got one I ordered it from the FBI and I just wrote a brief note letting them know that I was planning on having the background check apostilled. This last time I got one I went through a channeler, there are apparently only a few channelers who can provide you with a check that is able to be apostilled. It's much more expensive but it's also much faster. I think I used National Background Check. You can't order the e-mail option if you need it apostilled, it has to be mailed to you. If you're ordering it from Korea you'll have to have someone in the US handle the apostille for you. |
