|
|
Hi there,
Every month my company pays into the Korean pension scheme based on my basic salary and the amount deducted is always the same - 4.5 % of my basic salary. However each month my salary generally includes payment for OT classes taught as well as examining I do for a well-known language exam and they never pay pension contributions for this component of my income.Attempts to clarify this matter with the company's payroll officer have been less than fruitful.
Does anyone happen to know if this is actually the way it should be done or if there's in fact something dodgy going on? Any info much appreciated!

TTompatz will have the dinitive anwer, but to the best of my knowledge they should be paying the contibution based on your total salary.
ALSO, your severance should be based on your total salary. I know of at least one university that was taken to the labour board because of this issue, and they lost. |
