I thought uve been around as long as me? Is this for an e-2? If so, not sure why theyre asking for the MA.
Thats whats done in busan anyway. If they cant do it here, they send the stuff to seoul, or back home. The ONE time i HAD to send for a criminal record check, i went to a copshop here, got printed, and followed all the guidelines i found from the rcmp after a google search. Last time, for my current school(and, maybe, newer immi requirements), i went for clearance at the head "cis" office in busan. Because i hadnt been out of busan/korea for over a year, a local check was accepted...maybe due to an F visa? Sorry, cant remember exactly, as that mayve been for a study room registration. Most canadians just tell u to go to ur police department back home, but thats a huge expense if ur not there. I tried that once when i was back home, and the officer told me that she could do nothing for me as i had been a non-resident of my city for the past yr or more. The last time i submitted my "degree", it was a scanned copy colour print of "copy of true original" from the montreal consulate...which i had got back in '97. Accepted with no questions.
Boy. Looks like its not so easy since 2014...

Anyhow, get on it now. Get the rcmp check done, then get the embassy in seoul to certify/verify/whateverfy it.
