Hey, so I left my job in Korea in December. I still have my ARC in my possession and it does not expire till August 2017.

I worked at my previous school for 2.5 years and I left with a good relationship with my employer and she has not cancelled my visa sponsorship.

I have been out of Korea for nearly 4 months now and I am wondering if my ARC will still be ok to return since it does not expire till August. Any answers on this subject will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Can you return on that E2 = yes.
Is it legal = no. You are required to report a material change in your status (unemployment) to immigration within 14 days and at 4 months you clearly have not.
Will you get caught at some point and have problems because of it = unknown.
If you try to stay and find a new job rather than enter, exit and turn in your ARC, and then return as a tourist then you are certainly at risk.
It will also complicate a new visa application or transfer to a new employer unless your old employer is willing at this stage to give you a LOR.

I already have a release letter from my previous job. It's just being away for so long I am worried about.
