I need to know if with an F-4 visa, I can teach with only a 3-year degree.

| Just lie and say it was a 4 year degree. I have a 3 year but did it in 4 years ^^ I got a job no problem. |

| From my understanding, even if you have an F-4 visa, you still need the E-2 to teach and you need a 4 year degree to get the E-2. |

no, not true. You need one or the other. Yes, you can get the F4 with a 3 year bachelor's degree. |

| You don't need a 4 year degree for an E2... as I said. I had a 3 year degree as I didn't complete the Honors program and I got my E2 no problem. Perhaps they were confused though because I took 4 years to finish my 3 year degree? |

| Australian, NZ and UK 3 year degrees are accepted by Immigration to get an E2, no problem. Where is your degree from? |

I got an F-4 Visa from the Consulate General's office without a diploma. Remember in order to be eligible you need to be of Korean decendant or heritage. Some other requirements are that your parents family record must not include your name in them. Also, i think if you were born in KOrea then you have to get the F-4 issued in Korea.
Just provide the proper identification and your set!
Oh forgot to mention that once you land in Korea, your F-4 visa is still not active... you will have to visit an immigration office in the district you're residing in Korea to validate the F-4 Visa you'll get a little green card saying "Go-Seo-Jeung". |

So from what you say, I can teach legally on an F-4 visa without obtaining an E-2 visa? Is there still a minimum degree criterium for teaching on an F-4 visa? (I am an adopted korean american) however I have my 3 year degree from a university in France (my adoptive mother is french!)
Would this detail affect my chances for teaching legally in any way?

From what I understand, no. Just apply for a job and get one. You do not need to show your degree to anyone unless your employer requests it. It would be up to your employer to determine if he or she wants to hire someone who went to school in France though. Did you grow up in France? |

Correct. It's not total freedom, but I am only working part-time right now on my F visa (finally back to composing!), with no other necessary tags. It's better than an E-2, for sure. |
