Does anyone else experience this? I have the same two middle-aged women who ring my doorbell at 8am every Saturday morning to give me a pamphlet inviting me to church and how to get saved, etc. It's obvious that they are getting me out of bed, and I don't have the heart to be rude to them. But do they really think this behavior is going to inspire me to come to their church??? Is this something in the Korean mentality I'm not getting?

A pair comes knocking at my door at around 9:30 AM. I am just glad my door is locked or they might invite themselves in and relax on my sofa.

And if that doesn't work, show up wearing your girlfriend's bra, lipstick, and a whip.

If you are Catholic, it works to offer to pray the rosary with them. That makes Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses run.

Out a sign on your door in Korean that says.

I Kill ever third Christian or Catholic
and two just left

I used to have a sign on my door in Canada to that regard to scare away another group. You can probably guess who.

Catholics don't go door-to-door. Also, Catholics are Christian.

Ah yes they do. Had 2 of them at my door during the weekend. And Koreans think Catholics and Christians are different. Make the mistake of calling one by the wrong name and you'll see what I mean.

Sorry, I was referring to back home. I was not aware they did that here. And I know what you mean. I get very upset when a Korean says, "Are you Catholic or Christian?" (I'm both.) I try to teach them the word, "Protestant"

I pull open the door shirtless and make sure they can see my tattoos. Then I shout, "Hanguk Mao Anieyo!" and slam the door shut.

If they ring twice then it's usually the apartment maintanence guy or my landlady. They should consider themselves lucky if I answer the door at all. I almost never answer my phone.

No, they can't realistically expect you to rush over the church at 8 am. What the *beep* are they thinking? If anything it would make you loathe their congregation for harassing you on your day off.
