Hey, I'm considering living with someone as a way to have a larger deposit with the two of us together and lower rent.

I will be living in Seoul, and I prefer to live in Central Seoul, north of the river, but otherwise I'm not very picky. My ideal neighborhood would be near Yonsei and Ewha.

I am a woman and would VASTLY prefer to live with a woman. Nothing against men in general, just for roommates...
I'm a non-smoker with pretty strong feelings about cigarettes.
I have a cat, a large loveable neutered male cat who loves everyone and does not have any bad habits. He may want whoever's around to give him some love, however.

My general lifestyle is outside the house a lot, when I'm inside using the computer or reading, I don't go out too late, I wouldn't have tons of houseguests. I would be cooking at home. I don't mind people with other lifestyles, I'm just saying this so you can get an idea what sort of roommate I'd be.

As for budget, I can go as high as 5 mil in key money, and would prefer to have higher key money and lower monthly rent, I am hoping for less than 500,000 a month. I think that two people willing to put up that much money should be able to find a place that's not bad at all.

I speak Korean well, and am willing to go to the work of contacting the real estate agencies and all that. If you want to live together, you can just show up to look over places.

I am also willing to buy some of the appliances necessary for an unfurnished house. I could definitely see myself buying burners, perhaps even with an oven if the house was big enough for a full stove. A used refrigerator, and a washing machine... I can see it happening, though I'd ideally like to live with someone who would buy at least one of those two items!

So... if you are thinking of moving to Seoul, or are living in Seoul and taking a non-housing job or something like that... I need a place during August, since by September I'll be too busy to be moving things in anywhere.

Get in touch if you are interested...
