1)
Wifey, the Penn to my Teller (or is that the other way around?): "Why is the sticker price on this CD 15,300 won when your website states that it is 12,300?"
Clerk: "The prices on our website do not necessarily reflect the actual price."
2)
Don't have your website claim on one page that the date of sale for Return of the King is May 25th, and then on the next page state that it is available on the 29th.
Someone really should be fired for that one.

Its not like they have a shortage of customers so I suppose they dont care... But that stinks...
You might already know, but Technomart is cheaper than Kyobo for DVDs. I got The Two Towers for about 29,500 from one of the DVD shops in Technomart. It was 33,000 at Kyobo.
Technomart is consistantly cheaper for most DVDs. Kyobo is next cheapest. |

I hate the LG and simliar convenience stores that constantly have products priced incorrectly, or in the wrong place.
Having spent 4 years in the grocery business in high school, a few products in such a store is laziness.
Several products on a consistent basis is attempting to cheat you.
Let me clarify, I'm talking about having 3 brands of milk with different prices, then having a cheap but similar tag from something from a totally different area put in front of the most expensive milk.
Saw this done with Dole fruitcups today.
Drives me bonkers. |

I live in Bundang, and the DVDs at E-Mart here are cheaper than Kyobo, but they usually are in stock later than the regular date of sale.
Wifey bought Oldboy at a CD store near the Seohyeon Bookstore for only 18,000, so I went there today, hoping to pick up Return of the King at a discount. When the clerk there told me it hasn't been released yet, I was considerably vexed. I generally only check out the Kyobo site for release date info, but since they're a bunch of stupid, lying morons, I won't anymore.
(PS - Wifey is friends with a video store ajumma, and even she, the ajumma, doesn't know the actual release date. It's a crapshoot. Like having hot water in the winter, or trying to get a milkshake at the Burger King in Sinchon.)

Titles?
Most DVD retailers are selling certain titles for under 10,000 won. It's a studio promotion to help move unsold, unpopular-to-Korean-audiences, stock. Good deal for me; many of those discounted DVDs are classics.

Yep, there are a bunch of great titles going for 9,900 these days. Picked up "Fight Club" and "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" a few weeks ago. Also, Rob Schneider's "The Hot Chick" and "Deuce Bigalow" are being sold together in a two-pack for 18,000. |

I went to the most amazing bookstore here in Taipei on Sunday.
It's in the Taipei 101 building.
largest collection of English books/magazines, etc that I've ever seen anywhere in Asia.
A great EFL/ESL section. History, Politics, social sciences, travel, etc.
If you come down to Taipei on a visa run you should definitely check it out. |

Jajude,
You know, I'm not exactly sure but I'd guess sometime last year in the summer time maybe.
In fact, they're still building it.
It's mostly done. Full of restaurants, clothing stores, coffee shops, bookshops, and a really good International supermarket.
I was impressed with all the choices. T
Taiwan can be a nice, affordable 2 or 3 day visa run/holiday for expats in Korea or Japan IMO and this would be one of the places that I would recommend visiting. |
