I agree. But they still feel pain, are usually grossly unhealthy to eat and are completely unnecessary for a healthy diet. |
It has been shown that omega 3 fatty acids from fish are part of a healthy diet. |

Well, I don't have the time to do "research". I've never heard of any animal rights groups in Korea and judging from the populace, I thought it was a pretty safe bet to assume that none existed. If this one is legit(and that is a big IF), then kudos. But they sure aren't doing a very good job of ensuring animal rights. I mean, look at the fucking Seoul Zoo! |

From the Korean Animal Protection Society's website:
Quote: |
Informally established in February 1990, KAPS formally registered with the Korean government as a foundation on 4 December, 1991.
Although KAPS is concerned for the well-being of all animals, it is currently concentrating its efforts on companion animals. While much of the wildlife exploitation in Korea is monitored by international animal welfare groups, there are no advocates for Korea's companion animals.
In a country of over 46 million people....
Out of approximately 1,800 KAPS supporters, only a very small percentage are able to contribute financially |
Although there is one, it doesn't seem so effective. |

Perhaps it is because it is still in its infancy as is the animals rights movement here....give it time.
Animal rights did not happen overnight back home, it took time and effort. |

I'm not trying to slam the animal society. I was criticizing the person that came down on the OP for not doing research. If this is one of the first agencies, it is easy to see why the OP considers the situation so hopeless.
discostar23 finds one group and seems to think that everything is okay. |
