It's probably the dummest question to surface on Daves, but I'm almost completely computer illiterate. Besides email, I don't really know about computers. What do I do to add an avatar?

go up into the FAQ thread and it tells you how to add one. You need to find someone that can will post your avatar on there site for free and then you can remote link it no prob.

Don't worry if they seem like dumb questions to you - some of they guys here love to help the lovely damsals on the board ... and many of the answers are probably filled with jargon anyway!

Register for free.
Upload through your browser (the same procedure as attatching a file to an e-mail) from photos on your hard drive.
On your photobucket album page (you will see thumbnails of the photos you have uploaded), there will be a slot showing the direct link to the picture.
Copy and paste this link into the avatar link location in your profile here at Dave's.
