There are two Australian guys trying to convince me that I shouldn't care anymore... they say they don't care about anything.
Things I now and will always care about:
1) Family
2) Friends
3) Career
4) Hobbies
5) Money
Probably more too.
Even the people that say they don't care do care about something. Mostly, they're trying to delude themselves. Me? I'll always care... the day I don't care is the day I'll either move to the mountains of Montana and live in isolation or I'll off myself, and neither of those are happening anytime soon. |

Sometimes I get like that I don't care about anything, everyone can just *beep* off, but I think it would be a very sad, horrible day if I carried those feelings over on a day to day basis. |

perhaps for some. but to be honest with you i think i did most of the things to do in and around seoul in the first 6 months and got to a stage where i didn't want to go somewhere or do somthing just for the sake of it.
many may disagree but i don't think there is a hell of a lot to do in seoul of a weekday. i'd been around asia before and lived in thailand so temples etc were not on the menu.....just didn't find it an overly fascinating place....
always keen to get back there though... |

I'd like to say I don't give a rat's arse too, but when that bus runs me over I find it very painful and am awakened to the realization that I actually care a bit about something, perhaps like everybody: avoidance of pain and pursuit of pleasure, the impossibility we seek and live and die for. |

I agree with this, to a certain extent. Unless you have a lot of versitile hobbies that keep you entrenched for hours on end or speak the language fluently, just how much is their to do in small town Korea with lots of free time? |
