I believe the wedding and funeral halls provide them to those participating in the ceremonies there. If I were you, I would head into wedding hall and ask for a pair or ask where they get them.
or
Have you tried Ebay? |

In a lot of asian cultures white is the color of death. I could see white gloves and western traditional black at funerals being some kind of "only in Korea" hybrid. But if they're being used at weddings that wouldn't make much sense.
I just want to know why the ajummas wear those thick white gardening gloves even though it's 28c out and all they're doing is going for a walk in the park? |

The immediate family members (groom and both sets of parents) wore white gloves when greeting the guests at the wedding I attended last Friday. The church did not provide gloves. We got the wedding planner to pick them up. |

Ask a guy who's been married ten years and he'll tell you the color of death makes perfect sense at a wedding... |

I am curious ........ why do so many Koreans wear white gloves ? It makes sense for a policeman directing traffic as his hand signals are much more visible. But why would a bus driver wear white gloves ? It can't be to protect his hands - a stearing wheel is hardly likely to damage his hands.
There are other occupations where white gloves are worn (can't think of them now) but gloves seem to me to be completely unnecessary.
Does anyone have any ideas why gloves are worn here? |

Just a guess, but for some jobs it seems to be part of a formal uniform. I know that doormen in New York City (and maybe in other places) wear white gloves with a full uniform. Why white? I honestly don't know. I think white gloves equal really dirty gloves at the end of the day. |

it makes sense if your shaking hands all the time like at that wedding. That way you won't inevertly scratch your wipe your nose with your hand without thinking of all the peoples hands and all the germs.. course you could do that with a white glove on too who really knows i guess. |
