now that it is summer and I seem to be sweating a river every day in our factulty lounge (Gee the one room in the whole school without heat or a/c go firgure) I have been drained up to two bottles of pocari sweat a day...I am an addict for this stuff. If it isn't Pocari then I'm slugging back amino up.

Anyone else a fan?

Don't quite fancy the pocari sweat, other than for camp value. It tasted to me like a cross between gatorade and 7up. There are very few things I won't put in my mouth, and pocari sweat is one of them.

I noticed at my school they weren't really quick on the a/c switch back in May when we got some hotter days but Thursday/Friday they kept the school pretty frosty. Hell, I was going to buy a couple fans for the 8 teachers in my little office.

I was rather pleased when they cranked on the air. It's possible the little virus distribution factories complained to their parents about the heat and the parents made calls. Sometimes the kids complain to me and I sort of have to say "yeah, like I have any authority here."

I stick with the mainstream Gatorade and have yet to try the SWEAT

On a personal note, I'm curious to hear about what you WON'T stick in your mouth (per your message) Twisted Evil

I don't drink Pocari Sweat either, but not because of the name. I can't stand grapefruit, or anything else that's grapefruit flavored.

As for beverages I'm biased against solely because of the name? That'd have to be Coolpis.

I can drink two or more big bottles of Pocari in a day. That stuff rocks!

After a long work-out or when I am dehydrated, Pocari Sweat is great.

Any other time, it tastes like shit.

The name put me off for awhile, I mean, it kinda looks like sweat does it not - murky ... tastes good though. But then I saw - Coolpis ...

Can't beat the 'Sweat' after a night on the town. Wash down three aspirins with a generous dollop of Pocari (a Japanese product, incidentally), and you're right as rain tomorrow. It's all about those electrolytes, grasshopper.
