I've decided to join the silent majority and get all my teach capped in gold and silver so I can avoid doing that nasty habit of brushing my teeth... |

In regards to the flouride question. Yes Korean toothpaste contains no flouride nor does the water. Which means along with the lack of Vitamen D we are subjected to mean big trouble. Oddly enough as it may seem you can become "de flouridated" good news to the John Birch Society and the Colonel in charge of Elmendork AFB in Dr. Strangelove.
You can buy flouride in the form of Chika Chika it is called, I'd write it in hangul, but Dave's (we wouldn't want to be edited) available in really big wholesale pharmacies near universities.
I myself live on a diet of pure rain water and odd enough Russian vodka because THEY are trying to corrupt my precious bodily fluids. |

Lucky for me, I have access to NuSkin products here (a la my distributorship back in the States). Thank goodness, because it's really good stuff and I don't trust Korean toothpaste. So, it's AP24 Whitening for me!! |

Flouride is unhealthy and scientific studies of its ill effects have been cited in successful lawsuits to stop cities from putting it in the water supply. Several Canadian cities no longer carry it in the water and some dentists have also expressed worry over the health risks.
As dentitsts believe: flossing is more important than brushing. Get the food out of the teeth, chew gum to help it along and rinse regularly after eating.
Brushing should be the side dish not the main course, so to speak. But historically that's where the money is for marketers, to sell toothbrushes and toothpaste.
I for one am glad I can buy flouride-free toothpaste in Korea.
If you brush lightly and sparingly there's little risk of brushing off the enamel and having that yellow teeth look that prompts the purchase of whiteners. |
