I really want to go but I fear it will be just another ajumma fest that claims to be international but just is kimchi and o-deng.

Been to too many of these already but I hear the dano festivities are pretty cool.

I honestly wasn't expecting "that" much for the festival, but was really surprised by how well organized and international it was. There are performances from all around the world that were really well put together. I'm looking forward to the Camodian Royal Ballet and the performing group from India.

I have an all festival pass and will be there often, so if you have questions, I'd be happy to answer them. I would say it's worth the trip out here.

I spent the better part of today under the scorching hot sun at the festival.

The Chinese dancers and musicians....WOW Shocked
The Japanese Tekki drummers .....loud but good
The Australian aboriginies interesting but it all sounded the same to me
The Vietnam dancers....drool didnt think there were woman that beautiful
The Kenyan dancers and acrobats...again drool and WoW excellent
The Canadian buffalo dancers and drummers...sniff a taste of home again excellent.
The Paraguay dancers just fantastic
The Belarus dancers and singers fantastic again.

I hardly had time to go through many of the pavilions. Lots of fluent translators volunteering a definate good time.

Only down side was the international food court. Pretty standard fare. Lots of kimchi, North Korean food, Chinese food, American. Just not a great selection the Turkey section was not available, and some of the other items were not available either.

Lots of crafts to get involved in...this would be a great place to take a kindy class for 3 hours....mask painting, kite making, drawing, swings.

Lots of hands on things to do as well. Ever wanted to try Korean wrestling? They have the ring set up and help you put on the cloth and let you go at it. I was lucky they pitted me against a 12 year old boy and I won Wink Laughing Yup the 40 kilo tyke vs the 150 kilo waygookin. FUN.

Highly recommend it if you can get there.
