I'm trying to find out a bit more about a job offer. I'd search around on the site for all the postings on what Incheon is like but of course the site's a little messed up right now. (my preemptive newbie apology )
It's not my top choice of towns, but then, all my choices are coming from books I've read, not lived experience. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
(Edited to erase name of school -- It can't do no one no good, sonny.)

While some people (Crazy Lemon Girl) don't like it here, I've lived here for three years and like it alot. Close to Seoul so it's easily accessible, but you can escape when it gets too much. Has subway system, and everything you really need. Good spot. |

As KN's ex-neighbor in North Incheon, I second that emotion. |

Yup that's right I hate Incheon. But my ex boss made my life hell there. Personally I would recommend the area of north incheon, gyesan over any of the other parts for living... but when I left the place was oversaturated with hogwons and a few places were downsizing/going under. |

Thanks all.
It's so frustrating that the search function is down right as I'm reviewing jobs. I've tried searching around through other Korean sites and *sheesh*.... Dave's exists in a vacuum.
Anyhow,
This is the first job i've been offered that appears to match all my needs.
I guess I'll see what happens on monday. |

We've been pumping up North Incheon, but of course, Incheon is a fairly big city, so your mileage may vary. Do you know what area you'd be living in?
While Incheon does have a subway system and express buses that connect it to Seoul, there are many areas that it doesn't cover. So if you're near public transportation you can be as connected as anyone in Seoul, if not, you can be quite isolated.
If you find out a bit more about where you'd be living, I'll tell you what I know. |

update:
I took the job.
Incheon wasn't my top choice of towns, (I was looking for geoje do or jeju, busan, etc.) but the school sounds like a good one. I spoke with a current teacher for a while, as well as the director, and I'm feeling confident about it. (my natural sense of skepticism is making me wonder if I'll resurrect this thread months from now to talk about my horrors... but I really think this one is a keeper. )
Thanks all for your advice. Son Deureo, I owe you one.
