Where's the best place to do it in the Seoul area?
I gotta do it this week... so any leads would be greatly appreciated...
For those "vets" that have been to Japan.. is it worth getting traveller's checks? or should I just exchange everything into cashola?
I'm only going to Tokyo for 9 days.... |

Korea Exchange Bank.
Travellers cheques for security but they are not needed, cash is good. |

Cash all the way. The bank you excahnge at makes no real difference. Just make sure you have enough money, you can't exchange won in Japan.

Actually, you can exchange won to yen at the ferry terminal in Fukuoka now, as well as any airport in Japan.
Also, if you're out in the streets, ask around for the nearest 'shinkin bank'. A shinkin bank is the Japanese version of a credit association or community bank. There are over 300 in Japan and most will convert won. |

Most banks have an excahnge facility, also the airport and the ferry port. In Fukuhoka there are plenty of places, even some of the bigger hotels. |
