Menu # 3 -- Beef Ravioli.

Right up there with the best of Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee. The ravioli bit was okay, but the brownie was right on and the little potato sticks were pretty good. The lemon/lime drink mix rounded it out nicely.

Menu #3 -- Beef Ravioli: 8 out of 10

I'd give it a 9, it's my personal favorite. I used to bye them and cook them on train rides between Seoul and Pusan, that gets the Koreans curious. MY wife used to make me bye like 10 of them at a time because she got addicted to the brownies.

Menu #4 Country Captain Chicken

Mediocre. The noodles where bland and the chicken was processed right out of the realm of real meat. The cappuccino was okay and the toaster pastry thing pretty good. The M&M's are, well M&M's.

Menu #10 Chili and Macaroni

It tastes pretty good, but for the first time with an MRE I'm not full. Even the pound cake didn't fill me up.

anyway,

Canadian rats don't have Befforoni anymore, they got rid of all the good meals they did add Fettucine though and it's pretty good considering it's coming out of a ration pack. They say they are tested vigorously by taste testers but who in god's name would eat Ham Steak and Raisin Sauce for Breakfast? i would rather go hungry than eat that..

Menu #12 Bean and Rice Burrito

I was a little concerned because #12 is a vegetarian meal but it was pretty good. The burrito looked like no burrito I've ever seen before but I covered with salsa and it tasted really good. The sliced fruit tasted as good as any I've ever had out of a can, and the peanut butter and crackers were fine. The meal-ending fruit bar was excellent.

Best one so far.

Menu #13 Cheese Tortellini

Whenever I see the word 'vegetarian' or any related words I get a little leery but this one was a wiiner. The cheese tortellini ranks up there with the best of Chunky Soup for mmm, mmm good. The apple sauce was, well, apple sauce and not much good could be expected to come of it and, as to expectations, not much good did. But, not only did I get ice tea mix I also got a great spiced apple cider mix. The dessert was the pound cake stand by.

Menu #17 Beef Teriyaki

The main meal itself was mediocre but the blackberry jam was pretty good, and not only does it come with Skittles, there are also two Tootsie Rolls. This combination of Skittles and Tootsie Rolls makes up for the mediocrity of the meal.

I had the Thai Chicken one not too long ago, it was really good. And Lemon pound cake for desert. However those cakes are filling so i saved it for breakfast the next day.

I loved the main dish though i'd give it a 10 as far as MRE's are concerned.

Menu #21 Chicken Tetrazzini

Good. Too small, but good. No extra little snacks in this one, though.

Menu #23 Chicken with Cavatelli

Edible. Not the worst I've had but does anybody in the world actually like orange drink crystals? It'll do in a pinch.

Menu #23 -- Chicken with Cavatelli: 6 out of 10

edit: the spiced pound cake is frigging excellent! 7.5 out of 10.

Menu #5 Grilled Chicken Breast

It'll fill you up but definitely not very good. On the good side you get cocoa and ice tea and spiced cider.

ja. almost anything in the pasta and tomato sause family is awesome, spagetti, ravioli etc.

actually i dont mind the MRE on the black market. we give those out all the time. used to toss them from the convoy trucks to hungarian and bosnian kids. but i hate when you can buy stuff like NVGs, weapon parts, gass masks, etc. most of those come from slicky boy cutting into tents of people in the field and stealing shit. bad thing is if you catch one and kick his ass you can be fined for excesive violence. never mind the fact that a korean cut into your tent at 1am just a few miles from the DMZ and woke your ass up when he grabbed your balls in the dark. your supposed to ask him his name and country of affiliation or something first in order to apply the propper amount of whoop ass.

Menu #24 Meatloaf with Gravy

I didn't expect much from this one because, well, meatloaf is meatloaf. However, while not an outstanding meal, the gravy and mashed potatoes mixed well, the pop-tart with no frosting was good, and two tootsie rolls are always a good thing.
