My girlfriend and I are moving to town next week for a year.
Were both really excited, but know absolutely no one in the city! If youd like to lend some friendship, or can recommend some places for sights and sounds, eats and drinks, and other entertainment Id love to hear from you.

First beer is on me!

im not exactley sure, the address for the school is: BumEDogn, SuSungGu - if you know where that is, could you describe the area and how far/close it is to things?

i'm pretty confident we found a good contract!

in Susung Gu, there is Beomeo Dong... and Beomul Dong.

Beomeo is right on the ege of the downtown action, within walking distance to everything. It's a little crowded and noisy with a faiir bit of traffic and korean hostess-girl bars.

Beomul is quite far from downtown, but it is nestled in the hills...nice fresh air! Beomul has a large department store and a Subway restaurant as well as other fast foods. It is an affluent area, and generally pretty quiet.

Keep in mind that you are in for a hot, humid summer. Daegu is the sweatiest part of the country.

Also, check with your school to see if you need to bring bedding or towels for your apartment.
