I found some stores near City Hall in Seoul that have a large collection of records and CD'S (used) a few years ago, but now I can't remember how to get there. They were located in one of the underground arcades near some camera and audio(used) stores. They were somewhere along the green line by city hall, or maybe even close to Namdaemun and MyongDong.
Does any body know of these stores? How do I get there? |

I don't know that one, but there's a newish place in Hongdae with loads of used stuff. Not massively cheap, but some quality stuff.
If you come out of exit 6 on the subway (Hong Ik Uni, Green Line), walk down the main road till you get to the VIPs/Pizza Hut road, turn left up there, and turn right up the street opposite Starbucks - it's just along there, near "Ho Bar" |

I think you're thinking of the Hoehyun Underground Arcade, which is near the site of the former Central Post Office and the Shinsegae Dep't. Store. The record shops are still there. |

There are only so many underground arcades around there.
If I recall aright (which I likely do) the arcade running above the Green Line from City Hall to Tongdaemun has no used record stores. Nor, I believe, does the little arcade running under the road on the north end of Namdaemun. However, I seem to recall that the small aracade running under the road between the east end of Namdaemun (beside the department store, whatever it is) and Myong-dong has a few record shops in the Southwestern part. I haven't been there for a dog's age, but they at least they were there. |

Yeh, that's probably it. Hoeyon Underground Arcade.
There are tons of underground walkways around there and not a lot of significant landmarks.
I'll give it a go. |
