i just brought a new suit from itaewon and as i was wearing it yesterday while i was job hunting, i kept it on when i was drinking during the evening. I have to admit that it looks pretty damn good and people were complimenting me, but what do yiou think?, if you see a dude in a bar in a suit, do you think he's a bit of a w a n k e r?. I could have gone home and put some jeans and a tee shirt on but it was pretty cool to go out in style. Anyways i might do the same thing tonight, i got a couple of numbers last night (nothing spectacular) so hopefully i'll have a bit of luck this weekend as well.

i dont think its a big deal.. and if you got the numbers who cares what the other guys think. it also depends on where you go. they might say that if you are the only one dressed up.. but really who cares..

Wear it to the bar if you like. You'll look like a missionary trying to recruit from the heathen masses though! Laughing

No way, go for hit. Personally, a guy that takes care of himself and shows it through style is charming, and attractive. Jeans and t-shirts are worn by any joe in this country. Im sure you'll get more pooty with it too.
Wear it and work it.

when drinking, i dress as low as possible.. it's nice to be done up but i don't want people to assume thats me 24/7.

if they see me as a dag when drinking it lowers their expectations next time and it is easier to impress..

+ it is uncomfortable as hell..

i wear slippers everywhere... even in a suit i'd wear slippers here..

i love slippers Very Happy

I think it depends. You can certainly wear a suit out and not look like a stuffy banker. I think if you and the guys are going out for a drink till you ouke thing, then yeah, maybe a suit isn't the best way to go, but if you have a date, or are looking to pick up or that evening, you could wear a suit with no problem, I imagine. No tie though. Tie helps the stuffy banker look. Not needed. Smile

We should do that for one of the gatherings: dress code in effect.

Oh my God...I would pay serious money to see some of you guys in a suit! Very Happy

Definitely have to bring the camera out (and get an extra memory card) for that one! Very Happy

Of course, I'm sure the ladies would have no problem dressing up too. Wink

Definantly wear the suit.

My friends and i did an experiment where we went to the same bars for 1 month(2 weeks in a suit and 2 weeks in casual).

In a suit you stand out and the I got in so much easier.......and you look good.

Remember, first impressions count Very Happy

OK, next time I rear my head at something and you're in attendance as well, I'll suit up.

Very cool in a slick bar, loungy or wine bar, coctails, upmarket kind of thing. Not cool in Geckos.

at the last hongdae get-together, i had been to something else earlier in the evening and had worn a suit - so i wore it to the get-together. i don;t think it matters - i like wearing a suit sometimes.

after a friend's wedding recently a few of us went drinking in our suits. we vowed to continue the tradition...

who's for a suit at the next get together? make it a formal affair.
