There's been some interest in fostering a way for ESLers to meet others in their area. So here's the idea:

Are you friendly and willing to meet another ESLer in your area?

Do you want to do something on the weekend?

Then just post your openness here!

This thread could be a sort of welcome wagon for newbies and an introduction service to meet new friends for ESLers in Korea.

I, for one, am interested in going as far north as Jiri Mountain and I invite anyone in my area to get together for lunch.

Good idea!
Hi, I've been in Korea last August but I just moved to Seoul (I'm a mile or two south of COEX) and I'm definately interested in meeting people around here (I've seen a lot of foreigners on the street already, but I'm not the strike up a conversation with random people outside sort...).

And to continue the lunching theme, there's an interesting-looking Vietnamese place halfway between me and COEX that need looking into Smile

There are now at least three in Seoul who are open to receiving a PM to get together sometime. With more to come.

Along with people outside of Seoul too, hopefully.

So where are the Suwon mates? I'm new in town but not to Korea.

I know from his posts that Fonz is in Suwon currently. Anyone PM for a hook-up.

Just PM someone and meet sometime. This isn't a thread to organize a party as much as means to indicate who is open to meet someone new, go for lunch or hiking or whatever.

So far, there's:

Saxiif (Seoul, south of COEX);
royjones (anyang, near Seoul);
harpau (Sanbon, Seoul);
Yellowhair (Seoul);

mog (Cheonan);
mathew's world (Suwon)

vanislander (Geoje, near Busan)

Who wants to come to Daegu to meet me?

I'll review your applications. Get them in early.

PS: interviewees must be willing to babysit adorable Corp junior for a few hours whilst the husband and I go on a date.

(The Beaver need not apply... Wink )

There ARE no other ESLer's in my area...and that's the way I like it

As for the weekend I'm doing something, but other ESLers are definitely not invited.
