Do you mean record your MP3 songs from your computer to your MD?
Essentially, an MD recorder will record anything that you stick into it, but, if you have a netMD, it will record your computers MP3's at a higher speed and transfer all the song info as well.
Edit...disregard previous...
Now I see you mean upload from the MD to the computer. Do you have recording software? Kiwiboy and Lemon know about that stuff. |

I was wondering this myself. I would be interested in hearing any feedback on this topic. |

Yes you can. You just need some kind of audio recording software. Personally, I use musicmatch which you can download for free. You connect the Md player to the computer, and just press record in the software interface. Sorry, I can't be more specific - it's been awhile since I did it. But it is possible. My husband, who's a musician, would record on MD, upload it to the computer and then burn it to disc. |

I was researching online and I found some other stuff as well. MD Studio looks ace but I can't find anywhere to download or order it. I also found Net NMD which is apparently what many people are using. That's all I know for now. I will test MusicMatch tomorrow.
Go here http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=435, it has lots of information there. |

Only you can't transfer from the Net MD into the computer on the high quality settings because we're all filthy pirates and there would never be a legit reason why would ever require a digital copy of what might be recorded. |

I loaded up netmd yesterday and it doesn't work on my system. Perhaps I am missing some components, I recall reading about cases where this had happened.
Anyways, my md is 3 years old. I'm not sure what the players are like these days but I'm sure the technology has changed. Mine only has 1:1 writing speed capabilities so I'm wondering how this software will work for mine. Would anyone know of what kind of cable you would need for the transfer? My laptop has nothing resembling an optical line in. |
