***********WARNING*******************************************************************************

Shower shoes are great for the SHOWER not great for walking long distances in the pouring rain.

YES! They do dry quickly!

NO! The holes in the bottom eat your feet...and you have to hop and skip over all the dangerous broken glass on the roads with no sidewalks.

For some reason June 25th is the official start of the monsoon season. Seems to have come a little early this year. My 2 air conditioners are on and will stay on for the next 3 months ( thank god electricity is cheep where I live).
Would love to get a de-humidifier. Been looking in my little town for six years and havn't found one yet. Can anyone recommend some "chain stores" I could check?

If i knew someone who did that i would either A. Hit them with the pipe to smarten them up or B. sit there during a thunderstorm to see if htey will get fried Smile

When it's REALLY raining, don't even bother thinking that you will stay dry.

Don't wear a raincoat. You will get wetter from the sweat and humidity inside the coat than you would have if you hadn't worn a jacket at all.

Buy a BIG umbrella.

Wear shoes that can get wet.

Keep a small towel in your desk.

Enjoy the tranquility of a nice downpour whenever you are able to have a lazy day inside with a good book.

1. Make sure you wear waterproof shoes as drainage is not good in many areas. Aqua shoes are nice. If you have large feet, you can buy them in Itaewon.

2. Don't spend more than 5,000 won for an umbrella. They are cheaply made and "borred" often. I have seen that price in Kangnam, which is one of the most expensive areas of Korea.

3. Walk on the inside of sidewalks (in areas which have sidewalks) do avoid getting splashed. Of course, if you are a gentleman and with a lady, suggest she walk on the inside.

4. Make sure your electronic equipment is protected in case of a thunder storm.

5. Beware of sudden flash flood warnings in areas outside of Seoul.

6. If you drive, don't drive across streams that are flooding.

Thanks, dad. Wink
